Hasbro Workshop

I recently had the pleasure of taking a Zbrush workshop with Hasbro's Lane Feuer (who is now moving to Makerbot in NY, but he's still awesome!). I had to sketch and build a potential toy, but I also had to give it joints and make sure it could move. It was a pretty awesome project. Here are the results!

AAAH I Need to Start Maintaining this! D:

so it's been a reeeeaaally long time since I posted something relevant.
I'm gonna try to post more stuff on here, but in the meantime, here's a sketch I did of me waterbending because waterbending is cool!

Boss Sculpting!

So I've been up to a few things lately and not really updating as frequently as I should have been. My latest project has to do with that satyr concept art that I did earlier.

Sculpted her in 3d! :O
Progress shots:
Earlier at the top, later at the bottom

Then I retopo'd her with 3D Coat, textured and rigged her.

I really want to go back and try getting good cloth simulation on that loincloth thing.

2d Environment

Making an environment based on the Shadow of the Colossus game. It's kind of like what would happen if someone came exploring the forbidden land after Wander.

Some 2D stuff, finally

My goal was to make a boss character. Someone who looks somewhat intimidating. Not sure how successful I was with that, but hey, I had fun designing a deadly woods satyr

Zbrush Practice

I decided to see how fast I can sculpt a face.
My mom turned out to be a willing candidate. And so it began.

All in all, this took about 12 or so hours put together (2.5 days with lots of breaks)

This was the progression
The first head is about an hour in
Time between the screenshots varies, but it's between an hour and 3 or so hours

Fantastic Environment

For this project, we tried to recreate the mythical island of Fusang, which is said to be off the eastern coast of china.
I worked with Miranda Thomas on this one too.
The story here was that the trees of the island produce a glowing yellow sap that was used by the inhabitants as lantern lights.
The area itself was based off of stone forests in China.

Everything in these screenshots was done by me except for the water, the waterfall, the lanterns and a single stone on the veeeery left that's not really visible

A view from the top

Also I have a website now! You can find it here
