Fantastic Environment

For this project, we tried to recreate the mythical island of Fusang, which is said to be off the eastern coast of china.
I worked with Miranda Thomas on this one too.
The story here was that the trees of the island produce a glowing yellow sap that was used by the inhabitants as lantern lights.
The area itself was based off of stone forests in China.

Everything in these screenshots was done by me except for the water, the waterfall, the lanterns and a single stone on the veeeery left that's not really visible

Also I have a website now! You can find it here

  1. This looks quite nice! A very simple change that would add a lot to this space would be to add more directional variation in the small grass. The extreme straightness and uniformity of it all is clashing with the nice detail and variation you have throughout the environment.

  2. Oh yeah, I didn't notice it before, but I definitely see what you're talking about. It should be a pretty easy fix. Thanks for pointing that out!
